Rocabella Mykonos review – Our Boho Luxury Escape

Spread the love

It’s not summer yet if you don’t hear the Myconian bells ring. Ever since I was 18 years old I have been going to Mykonos, even for a few days, so that I have a good start of my summer! This time I was in a boho luxury mood and I found the best hotel for these kind of vibes, Rocabella Mykonos!

This place is located in Agios Stefanos, just 5 minutes away from the main town. With an amazing view of the Aegean blue and fully incorporated in the environment, Rocabella Myconos elegantly welcomes you to its sphere. Rocabella was recently renovated with respect to the traditional architecture and topography, as well as the desire to meet contemporary needs and aesthetic requirements. Stone, wood and sporadic planting of vegetation that you can find in a desert, convey a primal sense of intimacy and hospitality. Privacy of the guests is a key element for those who want to remain anonymous.

Our room was a circular stand alone building with a private Jacuzzi. The boho vibes of the items in it, the curtains, the bed and the linen made you feel like it was designed especially for you. My favourite place of the hotel though is the reception. An open space full of light, with the most amazing aroma! The sun-beds that surround the spectacular 300 sq. m. pool, the largest hotel pool on the island, which lets you dream and charge your batteries in full.

Our second night at the hotel, we decide to try out its Fine Dining Greek cuisine at the award-winning Reeza restaurant. Our dinner was mesmerising. Mouthwatering tastes of local delicacies under a full moon, overlooking the Aegean, was a night to remember. During the next day, we took a walk at the town of Mykonos, visited Ornos beach and our favourite Go Ammos boutique and when we reached the hotel, we enjoyed a cocktail at the Cactee lounge bar with its all-day dining, cocktails and laid- back atmosphere.

Its not vacation for me if you don’t have a nice massage, therefore I booked mine at the Spa centre of Rocabella. The place was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep while getting pampered. My body, my soul and my mind were in full alliance. There, I also found some of my favourite spa products,  those of Emma Hardie’s and Dr. Jacksons. I did not visit the gym, but instead I took a walk at the beach, which was also rewarding.

This hotel is truly one of my favourite in the world. The owner has put her free spirit and elegant self in it and it is totally rewarding. A must visit when in Mykonos …
